Membership Questions
What does "per household" mean?
Your $35 annual membership covers everyone in your household. Spouses, partners, and family members living at the same address can all participate in events and interest groups under one membership.
Are there any additional costs?
The $35 annual membership is your only required fee. Some activities (like restaurant dinners or tickets to shows) may have individual costs, but attendance at social events, interest group meetings, and informational programs is included in your membership.
How often do I need to attend events?
As often as you like! There are no attendance requirements or obligations. Some members participate weekly, others monthly, and some just attend a few events throughout the year. It's completely flexible.
What if I'm shy or introverted?
Many of our members describe themselves this way! Interest groups are actually perfect for introverts because they provide natural conversation topics and structured activities. Start with smaller groups like book club or coffee meetups, then expand as you feel comfortable.
What age groups are represented?
We welcome adults of all ages. Our membership includes young professionals, families, empty nesters, and retirees. The diversity in ages and life experiences makes for richer conversations and varied perspectives.
Can I join if I live outside the listed towns?
While we primarily serve the Waterville area and surrounding communities, we consider membership on a case-by-case basis. If you're willing to travel for events and feel connected to Central Maine, contact us to discuss.
